Setting up a new organisation
There’s no forced wizard — the app degrades gracefully until each piece exists — but this is the order that works:1
Create the organisation
On first sign-in, create your organisation (or accept an invitation). Sentinel
registers it automatically and syncs your plan.

Create the farm
Farms → New farm — name, MQTT slug, notes. The slug matters: devices publish
under
flock/<slug>/…. See Farms & boundaries.3
Draw the boundary, add fields
Outline the property on the map, add paddocks and exclusion zones, and arm the
geofence once the boundary exists.

Configure sensing
Add breeds and tag profiles so the ingest
translates each animal’s accelerometry correctly.

Claim devices
As collars and tags start reporting (hardware or the
Simulator), claim them under
Animals & Devices and link them to animals.

Automate responses
Create alert rules — a webhook to the farm channel and a
drone response for casts is the standard pair.

Invite the team
Settings → Members — invite everyone else as Members;
